Black Walnut Jewelry Box

This is another project for my amazing wife. After I asked her to marry me she needed something to keep her ring in when she was busy in her studio. All the walnut in this box came from her uncle who was more than generous letting me have at his stash of select black walnut boards. This project was pretty demanding from an attention standpoint. I wanted to have the grain of the boards wrap around the entirety of the box which required precise mite joints and the blind pill hinges requited very precise marking as there was no room for error or adjustments on those hinges.
